Yesterday, I led the Assembly’s ongoing community engagement exercise in the Ahyiresu Electoral Area, visiting Ahyiresu, Kwame Dwuma Sreso (KDS), and Abofrem to interact directly with residents, assess their living conditions, and better understand the challenges confronting them. I must confess that I was deeply touched by the genuine love, warmth and hospitality demonstrated by the chiefs and people of all three communities. The reception was exceptional, and the efforts made to make us feel at home made the engagement a truly memorable one. The exercise provided an important opportunity to listen to the people firsthand and identify some of the challenges requiring attention. I pledged our commitment to working towards addressing these concerns, and it is my hope and prayer that, through stronger collaboration among the Assembly, traditional authorities, community members, development partners and other stakeholders, we can find sustainable solutions to these challenges. I sincerely thank the chiefs and people of Ahyiresu, KDS and Abofrem for the warm reception and the confidence reposed in us. I also extend my appreciation to the Assembly Member, Hon. Yusif Suleman, for his efforts in ensuring the success of the exercise, as well as the NDC executives and members for their commitment, support and valuable time. Together, through dialogue, collaboration and collective action, we can build communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
