Education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives, and every child deserves the opportunity to discover the limitless possibilities that begin with opening a book. Through the generous support of the Ismat Foundation, we successfully sponsored the Atwima Mponua District Reading Festival, held under the inspiring theme, “Turn a Page to Begin a Journey.” The festival brought together 32 outstanding pupils from four educational zones across the district. These brilliant young learners earned their places in the grand finale after emerging victorious in their respective circuit and zonal reading competitions, demonstrating exceptional reading ability, confidence and determination. As part of my personal commitment to promoting literacy and encouraging academic excellence, I presented a school bag to each participating pupil in appreciation of their remarkable effort and dedication. I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Ismat Foundation for generously sponsoring the prize packages for all the deserving winners and ensuring that every participant left with a reward. Their commitment to education and child development is truly commendable. A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the Most Improved GALOP School in Ghana Award to Abofrem Anglican Primary School. The prestigious plaque was officially presented by the Atwima Mponua District Director of Education, in recognition of the school’s outstanding achievement and commitment to educational excellence. The smiles, excitement and appreciation expressed by the pupils, teachers and parents reaffirm our belief that investing in education is investing in the future of our district. I congratulate all the participants, teachers, parents and organisers for making the festival a resounding success.
