Earlier this week, I inspected ongoing reshaping works on the Amangoase–Adobewura road, being undertaken by the Atwima Mponua District Assembly as part of our efforts to improve road accessibility within the district. The intervention is aimed at restoring and improving the condition of the road, enhancing motorability and safe movement, while facilitating the transportation of people, farm produce and goods. This road is a critical transportation link for the entire area, connecting more than 10 communities, including Adobewura Community, home to the Adobewura Community Day Senior High School, to both the District Capital and the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi. I was encouraged by the progress of work and used the opportunity to engage with those involved in the project to ensure that the work is executed to the required standards. We recognise the importance of good road infrastructure to the socio-economic development of our communities, particularly our farming communities. We will therefore continue to prioritise critical roads and improve access across the district as resources permit. One road at a time, we are opening up our communities and creating better opportunities for our people.
