Amidst tight security and a charged atmosphere filled with euphoric supporters, Hon. Isshaq Ibrahim has been overwhelmingly confirmed as the 6th District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua.
Nominated last month by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the President’s choice was today backed by Assembly members with 39 YES votes (70.9%), securing his place as the new face of development in the district.

The event, held at the packed District Assembly Hall, was graced by respected traditional leaders including Nana Osei Akoto II the overlord of Nkawiekumaa and Nana Oti Boadua II, representing the Nyinahin Traditional Council. They urged the new DCE to eschew divisiveness, lead with unity, and prioritize the development of Mponua.

In his pre-election address, Hon. Isshaq appealed for unity and assured the Assembly of his commitment to progress and collaboration.
Nana Osei Akoto, Member of Parliament for the area, congratulated the new DCE and encouraged him to lead with integrity and statesmanship, putting aside partisan politics for the good of all.
